Tried installing the mixture control in the switch sub-panel, but it won't clear the tank. Thought I could give it a slight bend to clear the tank. Big $55 mistake. Apparently there is an internal sliding sleeve. The control won't allow any bending on the shaft. Had to order a replacement. Now considering a bracket that hangs below the sub panel on the far left below the trim control to mount the mixture control.
Also ordered an AN6 Pro-Flo 200 braided flex hose assembly from JEGS for the fuel system. I'll try simplifying the fuel line by using the flex from the shutoff valve, through the firewall (with grommet) and direct to the filter which will be attached to the carb. This should minimize fittings, reduce leak points, and put some flex in the system for vibration isolation and thermal expansion/contraction.
